How many Black owned businesses are currently trading on the stock market?
Correction – How many African American owned businesses are currently trading on the stock market (any or all of the markets)?
We have identified three so far. Two banks and one multimedia company. The third company will appear on our weekly market watch beginning next week.

Yes, these are currently the only verified majority African American owned public companies. Carver Bank of New York was on the list but was removed after the injection of equity investment by major European American banks in 2011 dwindled the African American ownership to a non-majority stake.
